Computer Science and Engineering Department
In The Vazir Sultan College of Engineering, the Department of Computer Science & Engineering started in the year 1995 with an intake of 40. The intake is gradually increased to 90 with two sections by the year 2000. The Department started Bachelor Program in Information Technology(IT) with an intake of 30 in the year 1999. The Departments CSE & IT are functioning as an individual departments. The Department looks ahead to attract, develop and strengthen the highest quality faculty, student body and staff in a supportive teaching, learning, and working environment.
The department has state of the art dual core processor Computer systems "HP". The department has also state of the art software namely Oracle 10g, Multimedia , UNIX , Novel Netware , Visual Studio , etc.
The department is actively engaged in Research in the areas of Cryptography and Network Security, High-speed networks, Neural Network Applications, etc . The department also helps the students in honing their skills in showing better creativity and also being innovative. Further, it imparts additional knowledge in some of the emerging areas of computer science and engineering and is very much successful in the rapidly changing and ever expanding areas of computer science. The department engages the classes & Labs by using LCD Projector. The department has been taking active role in conducting short-term and long-term courses and mini projects for the benefit of its students and faculty. The Department bagged University Ranks right from the inception.

THE VAZIR SULTAN ENGINEERING COLLEGE offers 4 years bachelor's degree courses in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics and Telecommunication, Computer Science, Information Technology . Admission to these courses is made through a merit list prepared on the basis of the score of the candidates in the EAMCET. In these courses the reservation available to different reserved categories like SC, ST and OBC is as per the Government of India norms.

Manair Education Society established in 1990 . Mr. Younis Sultan is the chief promoter, founder secretary of Manair Edcation Society. Who has established several professional and higher educational institutions in Khammam and Hyderabad. Manair Education Society is the brainchild of Younis Sultan who is grandson of erstwhile industrialist in Hyderabad, late Mr.Vazir Sultan, the founder of Charminar Cigarettes presently VST Company. He also represented Khammam Constituency.
He is the chief promoter, founder secretary of Manair Edcation Society. Who has established several professional and higher educational institutions in Khammam,which is one of the most backward areas of Andhra Pradesh. In order to lift Minority community and courage though in the national main stream he opted to work in rural areas rather than urban.
He first established M.Li.Sc., Manair College of Law in 1991 at Khammam. Subsequently he started MBA program in the year 1993 by obtaining permission from the state Government.
His dream of establishment of engineering college was fulfilled in 1995 with AICTE has approved Andhra Pradesh State Government as permitted and Kakatiya University Affiliated this institution. He translated this permission into related by procuring 100acrs of land in Order built a campus and thereby great and educational monuments for one and all. For the AICTE require 25 acres of land he established in the name and style of Vazir Sultan College of Engineering.
In the year 1997 another feather in the camp of professional education at Khammam was started with the establishment of Manair College of Computer Science offering 3 years M.C.A course.
The institutions offering MBA,MCA & Engineering rather approved by AICTE. Permitted by the Andhra Pradesh State Government and affiliated to Kakatiya University.
